The batch human option is a massive time saver. But in general I am amazed at how well this works- you can generate a very decent human character parametrically, including clothes, hair and rig. For generating crowd filler and randoms, it's perfect.

Asset barely works, I load up the 3.x version rather than the 4.0 version to try it out, I properly load all of the asset packs and I began making my character. When it came to exporting the character and baking textures, the plugin would bake all of them except on the last one at 85%. It always then fail after that. (BTW I'm using blender v3.3.) So I thought, maybe I need to upgrade to the 4.0 version of the plugin of which I did, however that version is quite obviously riddled with more bugs because it's still in development and in that version I am just completely unable to export a character and rig to unity. Only buy this plugin if you want to even just look at your characters in blender, if you have plans to use then outside of blender, forget it and use makehuman which is free with the only downside being that the meshes from make human are lower res. Look, this asset is amazing and it has crazy potential, but the documentation is not even complete for the "Production Ready" 3.x version and the plugin just throws python errors every time I try and do something related to processing the character after creation. (And yes, I was indeed using cycles to try and bake textures and I ended up waiting 30 mins just to see if it would go past 85%. (I have a very strong computer BTW.)) I just really hope I'm just doing something wrong because I really want to be able to export my characters with textures and a Rig to unity. (I currently don't even care about getting hair cards working.)

Sorry to hear you've run into issues, Michael! V4 does indeed have some bugs still, but V3 shouldn't run into this baking issue. Did you contact us directly for us to look into this issue? If not, please send me a message and we can look into it

It s a cool - but very young for now in my opinion - updates are very slow (which I understand)
Very little variety of hair, objects, and way to style and make the character stand out.
Accessories would be a must, no bags, or glasses
    Cheers

Very nice addon indeed, but I'm just wondering how to create the eyes movement with face app? It doesn't copy with the face app fbx file! it should be possible somehow? everything else is working excellent meanwhile (arkits). :o)

Glad to hear you like the add-on, Claudius! Could. you send me a DM about the ARKit issue? This should work in HG. If I remember correctly Face App uses a specific naming setup, and HG has a button to work for this specific naming setup.

It is like MetaHumans without the weight. The texturing around skin and eyes is amazing. Very easy to produce really good looking people. The body mesh provided can be cut up and made into clothes. Not convinced about the rig. But it is useful for posing the mesh for other rigging systems.

It's better than it looks on the promo pictures and a huge time saver. I was super hesitant to buy this but I'm glad I did. If I need something more specific I use my own shape keys on top and it works like a charm. Looking forward to V4.

I'd love to know how to change the hair after a preset has been created. I'd like to get a lot more creative with this. Right now I am looking for an option to grow the hair much longer but the lenght is limited to 1. Thanks

Hey Chris, since we use Blender particle hair styles you can grow the hair longer like this:
      1) Select the hairstyle you'd like to make longer in the particle menu of Blender
      2) Go into particle edit mode
      3) Use the particle length brush to make the hair longer
Send me a DM if you have any further questions

I was a little reluctant at first but this is amazing. The degree to which you can edit each human makes this a huge time saver and well worth the price.
In fact, V3 is so good, when is V4 going to be fully released?
(V4 wouldn't install on my PC - I kept getting an error trying to create a file-path for the content).

Great to hear you like the add-on, James! We are working on polishing the V4 release, but we currently don't have an ETA for the final release. Since it's such a big rework, we want to ensure the add-on and the documentation are to high standards before we release it. The error you were seeing about the file path should be fixed in the current beta version. If it's still not working for you, please send me a DM

Hi, hi, I think I am one of the people with the mysterious apple bug that crashes my computer when I try generating a human. I tried both versions but now have V4 installed. I m on Blender 3.4.1. and Apple M1 Max with Mac Os Monteray Version 12.2.1.

I m not a developer so would appreciate some advice or help.

    Thank you

Hi Mila, we originally responded to your DM about this issue with the solution (for people wondering it's a Blender 3.4 bug with its Apple Silicon implementation and is not present in 3.3 and fixed in 3.5). We haven't yet got a response, can I presume the issue is fixed for you? If not, please let me know
