Hello, The addon is very good, but i bought it specially for the "scaterring humans option".
One one hand, its very intuitive, very simple to use, and you have many options to create differents humans, poses and clothes. This part is very good
But in other hands its very hard/impossible to create something that you will use for your scene. I cannot find anywhere documentation to do basics operations :
Resize the humans : when you create markers you should be able to resize it to fit to your scene, or its impossible to use this on your scene
-Reduce polys, when you create an addon with a Batch mode, it should be possible to reduce polys (the option 512px is good but not enought)
-If you can't resize before, at least an option to create only "1 meshe for 1 human" to use it for scaterring and creating crowds.
I might chaange my ratings if there is any solution for that, or some tutorials to do it ?

Thanks a lot for providing feedback, Alexandre, we are sorry to hear the add-on didn't fully live up to your expectations.
-What kind of resizing do you mean exactly? Resizing in the regular height range of humans ~1.5-2 meters or do you need a totally different scale for a scene that is not based on real-world scale?
-As for reducing polys, we've done extensive tests on the impact of the polygon resolution of the mesh on Blender render times and performance, and a lower polycount makes almost no difference in both render time or render memory usage. For use in external programs (i.e. game engines) we understand the wish for different LODs and this is something we are looking at for the next update.
-May I ask what use case this would be useful for? Is this mainly for exporting, or moving around? If it's rigged people, it's not possible to make it one single model. If the armature would be applied, I guess it could be possible.

      Hey Lukas,
Sorry to hear you are running into an issue! You might be experiencing a very rare Blender 2.90+ bug that crashes Blender when you use particle systems (which Human Generator uses for hair) only on certain MacOS configurations. If you haven't DM'd me already, please send me a message so I can take a look at this for you.

Great addon!!! Amazing quality, a lot of costumizations and fast workflow. Now I'm waiting for an integrated motion library for animation without mixamo or other external library!!! Thaks for your works!!!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write a review, Dennis! I am glad to hear you like the add-on! An integrated animation library is something we're interested in, but it's currently not on our schedule.

Really great addon, I appreciate you guys making this. However, I have one suggestion, that being to add the ability to decrease the detail levels of the humans. This addon is great for creating photo-realistic humans and rendering stuff in blender but I feel like the use cases could go way up if you were able to decrease some of the detail. For example, in real time video game there will never really be a need for that much detail unless somebody is willing to melt their computer. Overall great addon and I'm excited to see further updates.

Thanks for the review and the feedback, Angus!
We did some tests with lower levels of detail recently and found the performance increase inside Blender negligible and not worth the sacrifice of detail, shading and UV quality. However, for use outside Blender I can totally understand the wish for LODs, so we are definitely keeping it on the table as an option.

Hey Clifton, Sorry to hear you've ran into an issue with Human Generator!
Could you please contact me, so I can take a look at the issue you are experiencing? Please also let me know what version of HG you are using, at what point you are experiencing a crash, and what operating system you are using. HG won't work with 2.80 indeed, but it definitely should work just fine with any version after 2.83.

All in all it's a stellar add-on for my concept art needs. What I'd love to see next is a separate library for hands poses. + Maybe some way to combine poses inside the HumGen UI. Cheers!

Thanks for reviewing, Andrei! Also, thanks for the suggestions!
May I ask, what exactly do you mean by combining poses? Do you mean combining them on a timeline/different keyframes or combining for example a leg pose with an arms pose into one single pose?

This is really good tool but is not really as useful as I hoped. Great looking humans! However a few more hair styles would be good - like "short back and sides" style for caucasion males - see very film from 1920 to 1960 - with option to "shaggify" it into the 70's. (there are similar styles but you don't seem to be able to get it right with the settings - I will have to learn to customise). However the biggest let down for me was the fact that almost all clothing is incredibly skin tight. This immediately makes every human look unrealistic - for anything other than a group of dance performers! I can unserstand that the armature weighting for baggier clothes might be more complex to get right - but perhaps just make it clear that the wieghting may need more manual adjustment, the baggier the fit?
I wanted a character in a short sleeved shirt and thought I could easily cut the arms off the long sleeved shirt - but of course the whole arm dissappears so I might have tried grafting the shirt onto another body - but the shirt was too tight in the first place - so I'll have to do it manually. So I'm not sure if I'll get much use out of this until the libraries expand quite a bit... but i've only played with this tool for a few hours, so only time will tell.

      Thanks for the feedback, Brihgl!
We are currently not planning on adding hairstyles from other eras, as our main focus is on contemporary humans.
As for most of our clothing being slim fit, this is mainly because we want to support a large range of body proportions and for baggier clothes to work with this one would need to add a layer of cloth simulation on top, which would slow the process down a lot (for example a baggy hoodie might be very baggy on a skinny person, but more tight on a bigger person).
As for the arm disappearing underneath clothing, this is just a mask. You can remove the mask modifier from the modifier list and the arm will be back again.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

Very intuitive UI - just a blast to play with, and the results look really great, although they could use a bit more geometry around the ears. I'm going to be using this a lot!

Thanks for reviewing, Jake! I will forward your suggestion about the ear geometry to Alex.

I give 5 stars firstly because of the characters' realism and the great potentials this add-on has, but also because it grows very closely to most of the community's needs and it grows very fast. Just join them at their Discord channel. Follow the progress and contribute with your own suggestions.

    Thank you!
