  This addon is great, especially for making animation variations for game development or even just using multiple layers to simplify the different aspects of a single animation.
  I honestly cannot imagine using NLA after using this. This was one of the key features maya had over blender imo, but now with the addon, blender is a much more competitive option

  Buy this! It will save you SOOO much headaches. With the new B3.2# version most of the problems with the NLA editor are gone, too. Such a powerhorse!
  switching the panel from animation to Item makes it even more convenient.

  I absolutely love this plugin!!! It makes animating on blender actually enjoyable. It bogles the mind why blender doesn't have animation layers built in.

  Excellent addon, any chance to add the option to control the animation speed of the strip? There is an option in the NLA to animate the reproduction speed without messing with the frame rate or the time stretching. With that feature, the addon will be a 10/10.

  Thanks for the review and feedback. Current version 2.1.2.1 is also included with speed and offset controls, as well as other new updates (only from Blender 3.2). Speed and offset are also included in the smart bake and will apply the new keyframes positions accordingly.

  A very useful Add-on for animating more complex scenes. Especially for living creatures, it makes natural movements so much easier and speeds up the whole workflow.
  However, there are some features missing and some minor bugs which don't make sense. For example, you can change the influence of the layers like in the NLA editor but you cannot change the speed of the individual layers. That's one feature that I miss quite often.
  Another thing I noticed is that the arrows to change the order of the layers sometimes don't work for certain layers. Saving the project and restarting blender usually fixes this though.
  There are more of those small bugs which mainly appear if you work with a lot of layers. But none of those will ruin your animations or project.
  Generally, the advantages of this Add-on outweigh the flaws by a lot. Definitely worth the price if you want a better version of the NLA editor.

  Thanks for the review and feedback. Current version 2.1.2.1 is also included with speed and offset controls, as well as other new features. These settings are also included in the smart bake.   A friend recommended me this.
  I usually animate everything in a single action and have to admit, making transitions between several "stages" can be a bit painful.

  With Animation Layers it's an absolute breeze.
  Definitely 28$ well spent and will recommend it to my fellow animators!

  AL makes animation in blender much easier - I was used to having layers in other packages so I was very happy to find this add. Instantly started using it and am very happy. Tweaking motion capture with this tool is a piece of cake.
