I absolutely love this addon, and I use it all the time. I have noticed an annoying flaw though; when I have multiple meshes and want to bake them all into a merged texture set it takes about 10 times as long as if you simply connect them all into one mesh beforehand. Especially if you want to bake to UDIMS then it increases the bake time exponentially for each image. Thought you should know, so you can hopefully fix it, and speed up whatever is causing it to become so slow.

Thanks for the review. That's a limitation of Blender. I can only send one object at a time to the bake engine. If you keep the objects separate, it will have to fire it up for each one which does take longer.

Wery helpfull & convinient tool! In my working pipeline, very often I make quick concept to show the idea. And also often, I try do my best to make concept closest to final look. Usually, it consist of modeling, procedural texturing/shading, lighting, rendering & postprocessing. This pipeline much faster than use unwrapping & texturing in Substance Painter each of object. But this process, have a drawback: after that, I need to give prepared assets with PBR textures, not procedural ). Now, Simple Bake tool is simplified this prosess, made it automatical! Of cause, tool is not ideal (I guess, developer will continue improve it). On my opinion, Simple Bake is must have tool for Blender users, especially, who thos creating game-ready assets.

Developer always available (don't trust people that don't know anything, he replied even to my dumb questions xD), constant updates, easy to understand when you actually start using it and easy update is the best thing in the addon world. Suggest this baking addon out of all the others, it's just good. Always had problems baking procedural textures, or High to Low poly baking, this makes the life way easier!

The Addon doesn't work at all. The baked materials have fucked up UVs. I tried to contact the developer for help. He replied but didn't help at all.

I've been using the SimpleBake addon for three years and I am constantly impressed by how simple and powerful it is. It considerably simplifies the process of baking textures so you can spend more time on creative work and less on routine production tasks. Just today I learned about the ability to make a texture atlas with this addon and I'm sure there are many other capabilities I have yet to discover—SimpleBake offers such a rich feature set to Blender artists. You get huge value for not much money. The developer is continually improving the addon and is very friendly and responsive to questions and feedback. I highly recommend it!

It actually drags tremendously when baking 4K+ textures; the API doesn't use Cycles/GPU at all. It may work for very small/simple meshes but beyond that, I had a bad experience. Not only that, but when you remove it from your blender install, it doesn't remove itself completely - I still get "Simplebake" UV maps in the Object Data panel in blender that I have to manually delete every time I start it.

First I learned how t bake everything, THEN I got this addon which automates it all :) I'll need to be doing this a lot when exporting to various things. Lots of nice features, simplifies the process. Responsive support. Thanks

This is a must-have tool and a bargain at the price. I've been using it for over a year now, and on the rare occasions where it hasn't worked as I anticipated (which was usually down to something I'd overlooked) the dev has been more than helpful. This is especially useful for baking down multiple textures or objects to a single atlas sheet, which is unbelievably tedious if you don't have this addon. Works reliably, saves a ton of time, just buy it!

this helped me so much in enabling automatic texture mapping for multiple objects with just one click of a button, and could even run in the background while I do other tasks.
