I've been using this addon since 2021, and it's my most used addon as a game developer. I can fully utilize Blender's procedural systems and then bake down the result to a low(er) poly mesh for use in game engines. It's easy to grasp (you need some PBR know-how first!) and streamlines what would otherwise be a cumbersome setup in each of your scenes. THANK YOU!

Hi, I have an issue and I'm not sure if Simple Bake has this option. I have a 3D model with multiple materials: some are solid colors and others are textures with transparency. When I use Simple Bake, the output always results in opaque materials.

Do you know how to fix this? Is there an email or Discord where we can discuss it further?

Really handy if you want high res bakes with low res outputs

The latest update is bugged, the export mesh feature has seized to work. I did some tests on multiple projects that its worked on in the past and I still couldn't get it to work but I rolled it back and it works fine but I thought I would give you a heads up!

After purchasing the product, you will receive version 1.0.0 for Blender 4.0 and in order to upgrade to the CURRENT 1.22, you need to click on the update icon in Blender and go to the website where you enter the captcha and AFTER that you will get access to the update.

What could possibly go wrong? For example, it is impossible to access the site from my country (Error 403), and when using a VPN I cannot clear the captcha (it simply does not exist) and after looking at the sections of the site, again, I cannot in any way access the product I paid for.

Using the contact function with the seller and sending him a description of my problem with screenshots on the afternoon of May 24th. I still haven't received a response (evening of May 27th).

If I do not receive feedback from the seller by June 1, I will initiate a refund through the store's support due to the non-compliance of the product.

And I suggest others think about whether you will get into a situation where you pay for an addon but will not be able to use it because your IP is of the wrong nationality

Hi – A CAPTCHA test is only required for a very small number of connections and, last time I checked, my hosting provider was only outright blocking the Russian Federation (no other countries). On the small handful of occasions that this has been a problem in the past (>5 years and >11k sales), I have simply provided the latest version to the customer directly to install. In this case, I’ve escalated to Blender Market admin to get you a refund which should be with you ASAP. Thanks

I just love how it doesn't only streamline setting the textures up, but also speeds up the whole baking process. I have no idea why. The downtime after pressing the bake button is a fraction of an ordinary blender bake.

The only issue I can think of is that there is a way to bake AO and Thickness, but there is no way to make the bakes use the normal map of the shader. (Normal input into the normal socket of the AO node).

    Otherwise flawless.

One of the best addons for blender. Especially for a blender-unreal workflow it has texture packing, exports fbx with a partial material setup. Its easy even for a beginner like me

Out of all the baking plugins I've used, this one is certainly the best. However, I was wondering if it would be possible for a feature of sequential baking, for baking animated textures. Like bake the object, move to the next frame and then bake that and so on. That way you wouldn't have to bake each frame manually.

Hi - Thanks for the suggestion. Baking an image sequence as you describe will be in the next version of SimpleBake to be published soon. Cheers.

Very happy to see the addon was updated to work with 4.2 so quickly.

I regret to say that I have purchased almost all the BlenderMarket baking addons.

This addon is the one that is the most consistent baking results for me. My one suggestion would to move the interface from the Render menu into a N-panel menu or similar. The addon menu can get a little tricky to navigate with all those options. So maybe a simplification of some sort could be made there. There are other addons that hit the usability factor a bit better, but it's not by much. Baking just has a lot of options.

But whatever my UI frustrations are, I still think this is the best baker on the market.
