I'm currently investigating how best to create and export gltfs from blender and SimpleBake has reall helped take care of creating new models with everything baked ready to export.

Baking in blender is insane and makes you go insane. So Simplebaked has really helped me avoid ending up in an asylum.

When working with gtlfs there is one feature missing from Simplebake, thats the ability to include the AO in the PBR bake option. The GLTF exporter supports the ao map if you provide a custom shaderNodeGroup with its input set to Occulusion.

I'm in the process of adding this feature in as it will complete the process for my project.

I had really bad time with Blender's cycles baking setup. With this addon cycles baking works great. I might need added PBR baking features later too. I did lose sample progress count but this is apparently limitation of Blender's SDK for now and I did run into a few minor issues. The author added status for % of textures complete when I complained about lack of progress bar! It makes background bakes nicer with some status on completion.

Best money I've ever spent on an addon. In just a few days, I'm convinced this is one of the most useful Blender utilities in that it simplifies a horrendously-complex internal baking system, cutting the time it would ordinarily take you well over half. It'll definitely be useful to me when preparing models for use in Unity. Many thanks to the creator!

Wow, thank you for those kind words about SimpleBake. Yes, I agree that the internal baking system is a train wreck (and hence wanting to make SimpleBake). Maybe one day Blender will have a "normal" baking function but, for now, I'm glad SimpleBake can help.

Great to hear! I've left a long response on the status bar subject to one of the other reviews (from newawa). In short, I may look to do this over time, but there are pros and cons to what I would have to do to the code. Thank you!
