  I've been doing CG for a long time. Started with Lightwave 8. Learned about Blender when it was in its infancy and sadly I never gave it much attention and then years later I took a long break. Well now i'm back at it and i've given Blender the attention it deserves. This tutorial series shows what is really possible with Blender. Your insights and knowledge of anatomy is extremely impressive. I very much like the way it's structured in that I feel like you are having a conversation with me. It's not boring like a lot of tutorial series I've seen. I've done many humanoid models in the past but you really pushed me to the next level and got me looking at details I was never aware of. I'm really grateful for it. You sir are amazing!

  I rarely do reviews (usually negative ones) but this time is different,

  After many years and many tutorials related to human head sculpt/texture etc I finally found a good one, this one, every time I reached a section that in the passed was a mystery (eyes, ears etc) I was like 'oh, I will get lost again' but not this time, finally a perfect tutorial that explains in details and makes it so easy to follow, I cannot believe that I finally found a great tutorial on realistic human heads, do I recommend it? 5/5 says everything :)

  This is a fantastic course for anyone keen to get into sculpting in Blender. It contains just enough anatomy without being too intimidating. The provided anatomy tool is insanely useful. The amount of content that comes with the course is great. It goes way beyond a simple start-to-finish process of the main featured portrait. The sections covering the differences in male/female, old/middle-aged/young, fat/thin and racial differences alone should be enough to help people create a wide range of faces... hopefully enough that we won't see the face equivalent of a million doughnuts with the same magenta icing :P

  Great too that it's been made available as a stand-alone here. I can't really justify CG Cookie membership right now. I could justify this one of purchase though... and I hope there are other products of this quality made available this way in the future too.

  This course is excellent, as we've come to expect from the excellent Kent Trammell. Grand scale and depth, and yes, as others here say, look at the results! A fabulous teacher!
