Saves alot of time and is regularly updated. Youtube channel showcases new features. If you struggle with the tutorials, this could help you out.

I used to manually do each of the shapes for each curve and did it like how the tutorials instruct you to do hair, BUT what they dont tell you is that this is SLOW. especially if you want to change something.

Now I made an entire hair design in ONE night. and I can confidently say this is MUCH better than my previous hair work flow.

I wouldnt say this is the fastest way to make hair, but when it comes to modelling in BLENDER, if you do hair, especially stylized hair....JUST BUY THIS AND DO YOURSELF A SOLID

This is a great add-on for making lightweight hair quickly.
    Thanks.

Below are the features I expect in the next version.
    1. Generate bones in hair.
    2. Create hair from bones.
    3. Finalize button. Execute "Convert To Mesh" to erase all collections for curves. (For cleaning and Cross Simulation)
    4. A new default Bevel Profile that has lost its height like a Plain Mesh. (For Cross Simulation)
    5. "Make Anime Hair from 3D Cursor" that can be pressed even if Bezier Curve is not selected. (Automatically add a Curve that grows upwards from the 3D Cursor, start "Edit Mode" and select "Extrude")
    6. Include the "Shape Adjustment" tab in "Anime Hairs". (To prevent a new "Anime Hair Maker" tab from being added when renaming "Anime Hair Maker" with SIMPLE TABS etc.)

If you think "Oh, I can just do that same thing already just by using a regular curve and profile in Blender ", like I did, you're not looking at how this tool SPEEDS UP your workflow. It lets you rapidly cycle through hair profiles, changing their look. It has handy buttons for quickly converting to Bezier and decimating. The taper sliders let you very intuitively and rapidly alter the thickness of the hair volume all along the length. The "Misc" panel lets you rapidly hide and show curves, shuffle through Bezier points and handles. By concentrating these buttons and features in one spot, these happy-making, quality-of-life features (with ample hotkeys) just make modeling hair suck less. Fun, even!

You gotta watch his training video though. Just take a few minutes and learn it. Learn the hotkeys. Make hair fast. And remember that when you copy a curve and don't want it to be the same profile as all the others, just click "Make Anime Hair" again and now it will not be a clone of all the other ones you've made duplicates of.

    Phe-no-me-nal tool!

The plugin is straightforward and easy to use. About my only complaint is that there isn't a control to rotate the bevel object. The taper objects are easy to understand but once you get it in place you might want to rotate the geometry around the curve and there doesn't seem to be a control to do this. It's very easy to set up a hair strand once you've got this plugin.

      thanks for your feedback.
regarding the issue you mentioned: rotate bevel object to rotate geometry.
there is a build in function " Tilt ". rather than having another control panel, I find the tilt operator more intuitive to use. tab into curve edit mode, you can "rotate" a single curve point or the whole curve pretty easily. it is located below "Move","Rotate" and "Scale" operators on the left side of the 3D View.
