Two Images

by EBTRR in Addons

Installation:

  1. Download the ZIP
  2. Go to Preferences
  3. Add-ons
  4. Install
  5. Select the ZIP-File
  6. Activate the Add-on

Recommend Color Correction Presets:

The Add-on uses directly GPU (Shaders and Batch) and bgl functions.

Some screens need a color adjustment before you can compare the images with true colors (Preset 1 and 2 worked in most test cases).

Preset (1):

Gamma: 1.0

Linear: 0.35 +/- 0.02

Multiply: 1.01 +/- 0.01

Saturation: 1.0

Value: 1.0

Preset (2):

Gamma: 1.01 +/- 0.005

Linear: 0.02 +/- 0.02

Multiply: 1.0

Saturation: 1.0

Value: 1.0

Preset ACES (1):

Gamma: 2.20 +/- 0.03

Linear: 0.0

Multiply: 1.0

Saturation: 1.0

Value: 1.0

Two Versions:

The Add-on has two Versions. One as a separate Category in the UI (TI) with the name TI_CT_1_0_x.zip. (Version Number will change in the future)

The other with the name TI_CI_1_0_x.zip which is in the image category.

Both are the same, only different categories. (Request from different customers)

Limitations:

Suppose the Viewer (Composition Node) has a different scale (Composition Node: Scale) instead of the original scale of the input render layer. In that case, it will appear smaller or larger in the original space of the Image Editor.

This limitation comes from Blender's representation/projection of the Viewer in the Image Editor.

If you update the Viewer, the Viewer Node is selected in the interface of TI. You must press Comparison to deactivate and then activate the comparison or reselect the Viewer Node in the associated area.

If the image appears black, move the position, and it will get reloaded.

Depending on your distance, the image has a small offset.

If you are a User of ACES, a complete installation is required.
