True Fire

by Lewis Martin in Surfacing

Can I render using any version of Blender?

Of course.

All you need to do is make sure you BAKE the simulation you want in Blender v2.83.0 -- then you can copy and paste into the version of your choice for rendering.

My fire looks like trash, why is this?

If you are using any version of Blender other than v2.83.0 the True Fire will NOT work.

You need to bake the simulation using this version of Blender, as for some reason this version uses a different (I think better) version of MantaFlow.

Simply Bake the simulation in v2.83.0 then once baking is finished you can import into ANY version of Blender to render if you wish.

You can download Blender version 2.83.0 here for free:
