  So just to clear up everyone's uncertainty about this addon. When it works it's absolutely fantastic and an incredible solution. Let me qualify and explain what doesn't work.

  ****SUPPORT ISSUES****

  1. If you are planning on using this in anything after 2.91, don't buy it, this really only works properly on 2.91 and earlier. 2.92 has some bugs and errors generating in the Console, Horizon toggles seems to be buggy and causes crashing in 2.92, 2.93 Alpha won't even allow it to be enabled in the addons when trying to install.

  2. While Support is very friendly and concise, they are unbelievably slow in responding and resolving. To give you a situation. I asked support about how the horizon feature in 2.92 crashes Blender. They said they would look into it and come back with a possible resolution after their technicians would look into it. So that was February 26th 2021 and today is March 28th 2021, and no solution offered, no checking in to let the buyer know they are still working on it despite me sharing with them the issues and images of the errors generated in the console. Again, their pro lighting studio and skies support are just very slow in responding. Keep this in mind. They will reply to you within 3-4 days, that is my experience, and rarely have they contacted me with a resolution or update.

  3. No visible Discord or blender artists support pages offered. It strikes me as odd that one of the more expensive and well-known add-ons is not actively interacting with their clients. Other vendors for other addons are miles ahead in this area of support.

  4. No Changelog posted, self-explanatory.

  5. No visible update notifications, giving you a clear way of knowing when any change is upcoming.

  So Whatever Positive review as of March 28th, 2021 it will most certainly be by those who are using it on Blender 2.91.2 and earlier. Anything above that.... has not been properly adjusted yet.

  I love you Andrew Price, but man, get the support timelines dealt with or open a thread somewhere and interact with your clients. I understand you are now very, and deservedly successful, but I urge you to fix these issues and please clarify what does and does not work with your tools yet and provide please a tangible trajectory for any updates/fixes/limitations and known bugs for your addons.

  Great product. I was nervous about buying this because some of the reviews here were very negative. Did it anyway and am very glad I did. It works perfectly on 2.92 and it is a joy to just cycle through HDRI's and have them instantly pop into the scene, there's real variety, they do appear to me to be optimized for memory as claimed. Having said that I'm sure that people who have had problems are genuine, but may be down to individual machine specs.

  I suppose this might not be updated for 2 .91, but that's a problem to me. This is supposed to be a well-regarded product made by a very popular creator, but is getting a reputation for getting behind and doing so for months (I saw users reporting it 6 months behind at one time). Being a blender user and purchasing addons you'd like to use with others, and new features, while having to have different installs and feeling limited in what you can mix is frustrating. I'll have to try it in 2.90 exactly in case this is causing some of my problems, but it's extremely unstable in 2.91. I have to save before every action and hope that it doesn't crash. It produces some nice lighting when it does work, but despite its claims about being more performant it slows down renders significantly the moment it's applied. I will update my review if I'm able, if things improve. I really wish they would put some work into this plugin to ensure stability and keep a decent pace with blender updates. It's an expensive addon, so that is a reasonable expectation.

  I was a fool for buying it full price at 197, didn't expect them to price drop this hard, kinda reminds me of the gaming industry. This addon doesn't work all the time, most of the time it lags behind on development and when it's updated it causes crashes. Would not recommend.

  Wow, I must have bought this product at the right time. I've never had any compatibility problems. I've purchased two other "sky" addons and was pretty disappointed. This is the FIRST addon that does what it says. I'm using 2.9 with no issues. It does seem that the thumbnails continually generate each time I start a new file. Not sure if that's the intended design, but no biggy. Getting external lighting right in Blender is a constant nightmare that Blender.org needs to solve. I would hope they'd by this addon and integrate into the product with more simplified controls. Should be possible to do time of day, type of sky, done.

  Works better than any other system i've tried. I am using Blender 2.83.2... installed the addon and worked immediately.

  The really great thing is THIS sky lighting tool actually drives shadows the way I expect them to, even with small/thin meshes (think planks of wood). Every other 'sky lighting tool' i've tried fails to handle shadows when the light is block by relatively thin meshes.

  Plus it is super simple to use and looks great.

  Just wasted 47$ it loads in 2.8 but as soon as i change sun direction it crashes, really dissapointed !!

  Doesn't quite work w/2.80+, buggy. No real support from the "support" team. And it takes quite a while before they even bother to reply. Wish I hadn't bought it.
