  I have a lot of addons and I know how to use Blender pretty well. This is a great idea but the script is still not sophisticated enough. Definetly check back here in a few weeks because it could be a good solution for a quick fix in introducing conforming arrays to any object wether it be with existing geometry or added edgeloops. BUT(!) There is really no way to tweak before and after, the rail objects are a unified mesh which does not help. If thi is developed further it will be a good little script.
