Croissants

by NM-8 in Models

The original croissant dates back to 1683 where a baker in vienna achieved the sole licence to shape his bakery as a crescent of the moon. In 1919 an austrian general opened a viennese bakery in paris and used the now famous dough to finish the receipt for this world famous piece of pleasure.

This croissant asset is perfectly placed in luxury interior designs or architecture visualisations.
Or if you want to get into node setups there are some useful nodetrees coming with this scene also.

Since no textures are used, you wont meet a pixelresolution limit, no matter how  close and sharp you render the scene.

Combined Modifiers allow for procedural high detail for the dough.

Detailed nodesetups allow for great closeups.

All Objects and materials are
labeled, so you can append
them into other scenes at ease.

This croissant's material is strongly depending on subsurface scattering.
This scene lets you explore ways to achieve a realistic and appealing foodshot result.

About the Creator:

I am 3D artist in the advertising & television industry for 27 years.

While working on projects and teaching animation at design college since 1998, i studied physics at the university of vienna.
That equipped me with a solid toolset of math to use in 3D workflows.

I started programming Blender addons and noding vector operations into shaders around 2012.
I love how Blender and Cycles offer a lot of opportunities to speed up rendering and fake depth into surfaces in many ways.
