The creator of this addon is awesome and got back to me very quickly! Not to mention took the time to help resolve some questions and was very thorough. I'm really enjoying using this so far as I was midway through a project when I saw this release, and decided to give it a shot. Now my frames are rendering twice as fast and cleaner than before! Huge time saver thanks Ethan!

does not render my heavy scenes unlike stock cycles and e-cycles, e-cycles crashes sometimes but this one does not work when you are on the edge of your video memory, i hope it can handle big scene in the future. nice perf though with the fastest setting when you smaller scene even with volumetrics.

I have done many heavy archviz scenes without any problems. The important factor is that it needs enough GPU memory for the scene and textures to fit and render. If their is not enough GPU memory, regular Cycles would run into GPU errors.

Reconsider if you render scenes with hair/fur. I found K-Cycles to be around 5-15% slower than original Cycles in this case. Using default settings and tested on 5 different scenes.

Not all type of scenes are going to get big improvements and the benchmarks graph show that. Test with some of public available scenes from the benchmark and K-Cycles should be faster. Their many issues affecting performance in Cycles. I will be glad to take a look at your problem scenes to figure out performance issue.

I asked a question and get the answer... within 3h, I bought it the same day, tested it and... it does what was promised - around 2x faster! Speed is Eric's thing and K-Cycles - worth every cent!

Incredibly powerful tool that not only vastly increases my productivity but also doesn't break the bank. 11/10, can't wait to see how performance continues to improve with future updates!

I wish it were available for Linux, but it is still a great upgrade for the Windows pc. Using a (Cuda) GTX 1080-ti GPU, I tested this software with an interior scene. The standard Cycles took 26 minutes at 3000 samples. I then opened the same project in K-Cycles and used the default-Highest Quality setting... it took only 18 minutes at the same 3000 samples. I then analyzed the details of both images overlayed in Photoshop and found that the K-Cycles render was definitely a better render. All the creases and folds in the fabric were retained in my scene when using the K-cycles but were lost (smoothed out) if rendered using the standard cycles.

Linux version is planned at no additional cost.

Used E-Cycles for all of 2020 but hard to justify the price. K-Cycles gave me the same performance + a crazy fast viewport for a fraction of the price.

Wow... it REALLY does increase the speed by 2x! I My scenes... usually 5-20 vehicles lots stuff like furniture and lights. scnee was rendered with Highest Qualtity in 2K on an 3080 i9 10th 64GB 3200RAM...took just 5 minutes plus it feels more stable. Would be nice if they add a preset save button in the render scene tab so you could save different presets ;-)

Wow, I just rerendered an archviz scene I did yesterday that originally took about 5 minutes (1500 samples, 1500x1200 resolution, RTX 3080) and just bought k-cycles today and it took 2 minutes at same settings except 2000 samples. Will have to do more testing as this is my first initial test but its good so far. Price is very reasonable.
