Hard Ops is a joint collaboration between myself and many other artists in attempting to streamline a hard surface workflow in Blender.
Here's an example of it in action.
Hard Ops is intended to be a mesh concepting tool for boolean based mesh creation. It was created to assist in creating finer surfaces with less topological constraint overhead during creation.
It is a tool for mass construction. And also mass concepting without surfacing compromise.
Why does Hard Ops exist?
Previously to python and scripting I was working on a book about modelling. As the book went on explaining the keys became more of a chore and as I wrote it became more apparent that some things could be "connected" together.
This is what brought about the idea for "mesh sharpening".
By simplifying a process into a step we were able to find a different way to approach modelling that allows for flexibility and a streamlined workflow for Hard Surface creation. And this expanded into an entire toolset with on screen huds. Helpers for important options and special tools intended to speed up the modelling experience.
The users themselves have shown the benefits of using an add-on as an educational aid to assist with modelling.
What does Hard Ops do?
Hard Ops has utilities for things ranging from cutters to sharpeners. It it currently a menu, panel and pie menu all doing the same thing offering a workflow for making hard surface faster and easier.
It also has edit mode tools. Hard Ops is mainly for functions in object and edit mode.
The best demonstration of Hard Ops is in its demos. The best way to perfect the tool is extensive usage. So personally I quest to make the sexiest cube possible.

Any Demos On Hard Ops?
I did quite a few demos on my channel showing the tools in process and their evolution. I am pleased to show the evolution of Hard Ops over the course of it's development.
