    How is this addon maintained?

    I'll make it work with future Blender versions for as long as the addon is on sale on Blender Market. Maintenance updates will be free. 

    My fractals won't show up. Only a yellow dot when I drag and drop.

    That's because your version of Blender doesn't have the volume cube geometry node. Upgrade to at least Blender 3.3 to make the fractals work.

    When I convert the fractal into a mesh/apply geometry nodes, the fractal disappears. What can I do?

    This happens because your fractal might contain instances, so when applying nodes or converting to mesh, always add a "realize instances" node at the end of the geometry nodes tree.

    However, it's more optimal to render with instances so be sure you only realize the instances when you actually need it.

    My fractal takes a long time to calculate, what can I do?
    This is completely normal, the more resolution you add the longer it takes and also takes more memory. The third tutorial video is all about optimization and should help you solve most of the problems, you can also add the fractal material to improve the detail level by an order of magnitude. Also, when rendering multiple frames, make sure to check "Persistent Data" under Cycles performance settings to avoid recalculating the fractal every frame. You can also globally disable the fractal in the viewport (the little monitor icon) to avoid calculating the fractal twice - for the viewport and for the render.
    Is this an addon?

    No, the Fractal Machine is built in combination with shader and geometry nodes. Installing is simple - you just need to unzip the Fractalmachine.zip into your Blender assets folder. More detailed instructions in the first tutorial video.
