CURVE FILL ADVANCED
Version 2.1 Out Now !
Hi all :),
Curve fill advanced is a Geometry Nodes based modifier for Blender 4.3. It takes 2D boundary curves and automatically generates quad-based mesh surfaces and solids with center-line face topology from them. CFA accepts just about any curve object whether imported into blender as an .SVG or created from scratch inside Blender and works with single spline or multi-spline curve objects. It also automatically creates UV coordinates for texture mapping.
I created this modifier for use in my own artwork and graphic design. I was looking for a way to go from 2D line work to 3D object with good, clean topology and a crisp, sharp centerline without having to build a mesh manually. I hope you find the modifier useful and I cannot wait to see what you create with it :)

ONE-CLICK QUAD BASED FILL
The modifier is assigned to a mesh object and references curve objects inside your scene. One click constructs the quad-based fill geometry from a set of 2D boundary splines.
REAL-TIME ADAPTIVE TOPOLOGY
The fill geometry will adapt in both form and density with edits to the boundary splines inside of the referenced curve object.
SHARP EXTRUSION AND VARIABLE VERTEX DENSITY
Sliders control the vertex density of the generated grids in both the X and Y directions. An extrusion slider sets the center-line vertices to the desired height normal to the curve plane. The vertices taper from the center-lines to the boundaries in a gradient controlled with an "extrusion exponent" slider.
UV COORDINATE GENERATION FOR TEXTURE MAPPING
The modifier generates UV-coordinates for texture mapping along quad strips that flow between the center-lines and the boundary curves. These can be used for all kinds of procedural effects and for image mapping.
