  I don't know why this add-on is still listed on Blender Market. The last positive review was 6 months ago, since then multiple customers are reporting that it doesn't work (or even install) with the current version of Blender.

  No response to my inquiries on blenderartists.org since early September, same result here. Why is it even still for sale?

  cannot import name 'get_icon' from partially initialized module 'alpha_trees_lite-2_3_9.icons' (most likely due to a circular import) (/home/user/.config/blender/4.2/scripts/addons/alpha_trees_lite-2_3_9/icons.py)

  Getting the same error all the time. I cannot solve it. Seller does not respond. So Alpha trees is useless for me.

  Absolutely fantastic, it really does render trees fast!

  The fact that its really simple to create your own trees adds a great deal of value for me because trees that don't come included you can have turned into an alpha tree in pretty much a single click.

  Instantly increases performance, and looks pretty much flawless from 15 meters plus. The ability to cull all the tres outside the camera is incredibly nice. The creator instantly reached out to help me when I needed help. Would purchase again. 10/10

  I bought this mainly for the Geo-Scatter biomes, but its ability to make new alpha trees from Polygoniq assets is really useful (and very straightforward – although I wish your own trees came up in a different menu from the built-in library or were more clearly marked). The addon itself also works just fine if you don't have Geo-Scatter. For the creation of vast forested landscapes, this is a bit of a no-brainer. Five stars from me, and look forward to new features/additional biomes etc (jungle, farmland, other vegetation).
