  Wanted to rig tank treads better than the what I was seeing on YouTube. Followed the tutorials. Job done! Time lost and frustration avoided, so worth the money.

  This add-on and its support team deserve more than five stars—if only that were possible! While the learning curve is indeed steep, the add-on offers extensive features that have been incredibly helpful for my projects. Currently, I’m animating a city bus, including a jointed section, and no other tool provided such realistic bending and simulation options.

  Some may find the price a bit high, but compared to commercial Maya add-ons, it’s a bargain I’m happy to invest in. Support is fast, friendly, and always ready to assist, providing valuable guidance in no time.

  There’s also a range of tutorials available, including one featuring my city bus model. Any negative reviews likely stem from the steep learning curve. However, with so many customization options, this tool offers immense freedom—ideal for those with some background knowledge and patience.

  As with Blender itself, learning takes time, but this add-on is worth every effort. Let’s rate it fairly so the developers receive the recognition they deserve!

  I've holded my review because in the past I sometimes was too quick posting a positive review on addons. This time I spent weeks trying out basically everything there is in the addon, had quite some conversations with the creator and did a lot of research and documentation on the addon. Here are my findings after weeks of using it:

  This is by far the best and most advanced vehicle rigging system for blender currently that I have come across when you want to have full control over vehicles in order to animate them. Clearly made with serious riggers and animators in mind doing actual production work. And without the gimicky bells and whistles that some other rigging systems added.

  It has a very intuitive and pretty great workflow and a lot of important features and tools for creating stable, time tested, Blender native rigs that IMO are required for professional workflows.

  The generated rigs are Blender Native rigs and even things like generating tank wheels parts along a spline is super well thought through; because VRF has a great tool to create all these (sometimes hundreds) object-parts simple and without using modifiers. Making the rig compatible and exportable to other systems!

  Because of the modular workflow it's possible to rig (and animate) a lot of different vehicles with this. There are virtually no limits for regular vehicles and in contrary to many other rigging systems, there's also no limit to the amount of wheels etc. Besides this you can quite easily create rigs for boats, tanks, bikes, one-wheelers, helicopters, drones, busses, trains etc.. Fantasy is the limit really. If you know a little bit about rigging you can work with it after seeing just a few of the many tutorial videos on the creators channel.

  Although I agree that a written manual would be helpful for some specific features and the tools aboard, I strongly dissagree with the one below using this as an excuse to give this addon just one star. That's just plain rude IMO and way out of proportion. Rigging isn't the most easy job in the world, but this addon surely did everything they can to make the workflow as easy as possible and the tutorial videos on the youtube channel are actually pretty good and understandable. And basically are all using the same workflow. Once you understand it you can rig virtually every vehicle with it.

  Besides rigging it also has some nice features for animation as well. Like some tools to animate a train (for instance) over a track (including wagons), automatically move the wheels when the vehicle moves (without the need for baking, although baking is present too), FK-IK systems for things like excavator arms, but also for great Pixar-Car's style animation etc.

  Also the addon is super stable and is clearly very well thought through.

  When doing real production work also important is to be able to create your rigged vehicle in one file and use that rigged vehicle in another (animation) blend file via linking with Library Override. In contrary to many (if not all ?) of the other blender addons, this is possible with rigs created with this addon. While other rigging addons have diffent kind of issues making linking in other files basically impossible. Making this addon finally a rigging tool able to do real work.

  Another person below says that the creator didn't respond to his message. I don't know how it was a year ago, but I have the complete opposite experience. I'm using this addon for a few weeks now and had frequently and a lot of back and forth messages with the creator and I'm 2000% satisfied about the communication. Although it's clear that the creator is not a native English speaker and sentences can sometimes be a little different, it's still all clear enough, responses are super quick, understanding, very helpful and full of great information and passion about the subject. This is clearly not somebody making an addon just to make money, but to make peoples work easier. The addon is also used in production by the team, which helps. Also the creator is super open to feature requests and even in this relatively short period of time I'm using this the creator already made some changes and added features already after asking.

  If you're looking for an addon to do serious vehicle rigging for real projects (without all the gimmicky stuff, but with virtually no limits to rig a huge amount of different vehicles) IMO this is the true addon to get. And it's also priced very reasonable, especially for the crazy amount of vehicles you can rig (and animate) with this and how much time you save.

  This addon deserves only 5 stars honestly. Keep up the great work!

  The Tutorial is very quick and leaves details without adequate explanation. Even if looked at frame by frame. I couldn't use it in my project. Please develop a better tutorial.

  I would rate this higher but the creator does not respond to support and also all rigs in this addon do not support rotating a car in the Z axis. Will rate higher when these two problems are fixed
