Is the bark material procedural? Are the UV's automatic?
It generates the UV’s, and while the shader has procedural touches, you can use the included textures in the pack to import them into Unreal or Unity too!
I bought the PRO - STANDARD version, but when downloading the license it says "TREEBOX License - Personal". It also looks like the personal license?
Yes, that is normal! You have all the normal pro features - the commercial license is meant to authorize resale of assets and unlimited seats. I hope you really enjoy Treebox! I'm always open to feedback and feature requests :)
Does Treebox include presets for different styles? Or different resolutions?
I will be working on making a couple of tree presets for the next update so people can get a head start on specific tree looks! The generators have controls for both radius and curve resolutions, so make em as high or low poly as you want!
Are the leaves fully modeled or alpha cards?
While the leaves are alpha cards via the canopy generator, it is totally viable to use a custom object as the leaf, whether it’s 2D or 3D. As of right now, there is no preset for 3D leaves, but I am willing to add some in a future update :) in the meantime, it’s very easy to add a custom object to the tree leaf system!
Is it all geometry?
It is a 100% geometry mesh after you click “Tree to Mesh” in the add on. The leaf canopies are flat planes with alpha cards, so in that sense, it isn't necessarily nanite compatible.
Are TREEBOX Trees compatible with game engines like Unity & UE5?
Yes they are! I’ve actually done a recent collab with a small game jam team where I tested these features. Once you click “Tree to Mesh”, it’s instantly ready to go for games!
