The Vegetation Artists Resource Kit

I am proud to present my big project of 2020.
This is a resource pack providing everything you need to have a good starting point when working on foliage for games.
The pack includes a total of 75 scanned PBR atlases. The atlases are scanned with my personal scanner I built for this project, it gives good deep normal maps and proper backlit subsurface maps.

The idea of the pack is for all vegetation artists out there to have something in their toolkit that can back them up no matter what studio or project they are working on. During my career I have joined studios and projects that did not have access to the bigger AAA Scan libraries resulting in you having to make everything from scratch. To prevent this I made this pack "Royalty Free" so that instead of a studio based or project based license this would be something you as an artist can carry with you.

These atlases are not meant to give you a perfect asset out of the box, rather it is intended to help you get started more quickly. The maps are flat and easy to alter to your liking and the pack covers a wide variety of species and sizes of both leaves and grass to never leave you stranded.

To make it even faster to get started I also modeled high poly models of all the leaves. Assembling high poly branches and shrubbery
goes so much faster if you don't have to start with cutting the atlases :)
