The Technical Section (TechSec) addon permits static and interactive SVG formatted technical sections to be created and visualised based on Blender mesh geometry.  Common ISO page sizes, line weights, dimensions, text annotations and hatching patterns are also supported and as such it provides a quick and interactive way to create publication-quality sections through your designs. The emphasis of TechSec is currently on architecture but it also has general engineering and CAD applications.

TechSec has been tested on Windows 10/11, OS X (Intel only) and linux. If using on linux a local installation of Cairo is required.

Specific features include:

• Creation of SVG and PNG sections with specified scale, line weights, dimensions, text annotations and hatching patterns which can be set at individual object or collection level.
• Allows the combination of multiple section cuts with various scales into one final page.
• Interactive application and visualisation of PNG sections to Blender geometry.
• Use of complex geometry to create and visualise interactive sections to allow, for example, the creation of staggered sections.
• Camera control to automate the application of rendered image backgrounds to the produced SVG sections.
