Is this better than the E-Cycles Denoiser?

Yes, the "High" quality on SID is the same as the E-Cycles denoiser.

The "Super" setting gives better results, while being only slightly slower.

Some of my materials are black, why is that?

This may be because you are running out of memory, and blender throws out the passes. (This is a bug in blender that I can not fix)
Or you have not enabled the necessary passes.

Which render engines are Supported

Currently, Cycles, LuxCore, Octane and Renderman.
In the future more render engines will be added.
