SelectorPro: made to streamline selections with a settings-based logic selector

If you are in need of a way to expand or filter your selections based on various settings, attributes and options, SelectorPro is made for you.

SelectorPro offers a great number of options that lets you choose a number of parameters, conditions and matches and use them to filter your current selection of objects, keeping or discarding them from it. Or you can expand your current selection based on another set of conditions and relations. It makes it easy for you to select only the objects that you need without having to manually pick them.

With a few clicks you can expand or filter your selection to include or exclude only the objects with attributes like specific names, materials, UV maps, vertex groups and many more. It works even with objects family relations, ViewLayers or Visibility in Render. The parameters can be matched in various ways, depending on what you are searching for.

How it works:

Open SelectorPro in the N-Panel. Make a selection in the scene. Set the parameters you want to filter / expand by and press the wanted operation. SelectorPro will extend or filter the selection following the given settings. Every interface element has a tooltip to explain how it works.

SelectorPro is built on four main tabs that show different operations: Quick, Extend, Filter and Saved.

Quick.

Lets you execute quick and predefined operations in a click.

Expand.

Lets you expand the selection with settings (currently family settings only)

Filter.

Lets you filter in or out the objects from your current selection given the settings. The settings in the Filter tab work togheter, selecting only the objects that match with every enabled setting.

Every setting has some options that let you choose how you want to match the objects and with which parameter.

Saved.

Lets you save your current selection or logics so that you can recall them later. These saved elements are session-dependent and will disappear when Blender is restarted.

Every time you save something, a button will appear. These buttons, when pressed, will call what you saved earlier.

If you saved and then called a selection, those objects will get selected again. If you saved a filter or extend logic, those same logics will be applied to your current selection as if you were using the Filter or Expand tabs.

Changelog:

0.4.4: Added filtering by Lightgroups. Patched bugs with the interface and errors thrown.

0.4.2: Added the Saved tab. You can now save and recall selections and logics

0.4.1: Added a preference section that lets you change the category of the panel
