Installation

1. Download the Quick Selection Addon file from Blender Market or another distribution platform.

2. Open Blender and go to Edit > Preferences.

5. Enable the addon by checking the checkbox next to it in the Add-ons list.

Usage

Once the addon is installed and activated, you can access it through the "Quick Selection" menu in the Tool Shelf (press T to toggle the Tool Shelf). You can also assign a shortcut to the menu for quicker access.

• Select by Object Type: Choose from the dropdown menu and click to select all objects of that type.

• Select by Name: Use the search box to type the name of the object(s) you want to select and press enter.

• Select by Collection: Select from the list of collections in your scene and quickly select objects from that collection.

Settings

The addon provides simple settings to configure the selection process:

• Selection Methods: Choose between Type, Name, or Collection.

• Selection Mode: You can select all objects in the scene or only those that are visible in the viewport.

Troubleshooting

• Addon doesn't appear in the Add-ons list: Make sure that the file is installed properly. Try reloading Blender or restarting your machine.

• Cannot select by name: Ensure that the object names are correctly typed, and check for any special characters that may cause conflicts.
