Quick Proxy Modifier
What is Quick Proxy?
It's a simple tool that adds a new modifier to your blender modifiers.
What is it useful for?
It's main purpose is giving you better blender viewport performance by reducing the amount of faces and vertices in the viewport.
Example:
The modifier is setup by default to only proxy objects in the viewport - the modifier is disabled for render mode.
This enables you to reduce the poly count of your objects in your scene and optimize it for more FPS and a smoother viewport experience.
Is this an addon?
No this is just a really simple geometry nodes setup converted into a modifier.
How to install?
Drag and drop the .zip file into blender and enable the addon.
The modifier is located under Modifiers - Deform - Quick Proxy Setup
Or by selecting an object and pressing F3 & searching for Proxy.

Windows & MacOS supported.
Blender 4.2+ Only!
