Procedural Uv To Real Uv
Installation Instructions
- Download the latest release as a
.zip
file. - In Blender:
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
- Click Install..., select the downloaded
.zip
, and click Install Add-on.
- Enable the addon by ticking the checkbox next to Procedural UV to Real UV.
How to Use
Open the 3D View and navigate to the Procedural UV tab in the sidebar (press N
to toggle the sidebar if hidden).
Attribute Conversion
- Attribute Name (Input): Type the name of the attribute (e.g., UV map) you want to convert.
- Convert All UVs (Button): Converts the specified attribute to a UV map for all objects in the scene that have the attribute.
- Convert Selected UVs (Button): Converts the specified attribute to a UV map for only the selected objects that have the attribute.
Node Management
- Node Attribute Name (Input): Type the name of the attribute used in shaders.
- Use Same Attribute (Checkbox): If enabled, the same name as the attribute for UV conversion will be used for shaders.
- Selected Only (Checkbox): Enabled: Applies node changes only to materials of selected objects. Disabled: Applies changes to all materials in the scene.
- Apply Texture Coordinate (Button): Adds or updates a Texture Coordinate and Mapping node in the material, linking them to Image Texture nodes.
- Apply Attribute Node (Button): Adds or updates an Attribute node in the material, linking it to the specified attribute and connecting it to relevant texture nodes.
Status Section
- Materials Found: Displays the number of materials affected by the node management tools.
- Status: Shows the result of the last action (e.g., number of objects converted or materials updated).
Limitations
- Currently supports only MESH objects.
- Requires correct attribute names to function. Ensure attributes exist before running the conversion.
