How to get the buildings into the asset browser

  • Extract the .zip file and move the extracted folder to the desired location
  • Open Blender and go to Edit > Preferences.
  • In the Preferences window, click on the File Paths tab.
  • Scroll down to the Asset Libraries section and click on the Add button.
  • Browse to the location of your .blend file library and select it.
  • Once you have selected your .blend file library, click on the Add Asset Bundle to Library button to add it to the asset library.

Now all the buildings should show up in the asset browser tab.

Converting the buildings to mesh

  • Adjust the realize instances parameter in the geometry nodes modifiers from a value of 0 to 1.
  • Go ahead and apply the geometry nodes modifier.
  • By default, the modifier is set to shade smooth and should have jagged edges, simply right-click on the model and shade auto-smooth.
  • Then scroll down on object data properties and toggle the attribute panel, select the highlighted UVMap, and convert it as shown, ignore the other 2 options, and the textures will be fully applied to your model. Don't forget to change the mode from generic to UV Map.
