Will this make my renders better?
Yes. The key is subtlety. If you add too much grain or gate weave for example it will be very noticeable. Find the right values for your shot and you will get that 15-20% quality boost right off the bat.
I installed successfully, where is the node?
Make sure you're in the compositing workspace. The node can be found at Add Node > Filter > Photoreal
Alternatively you can just type in the name of the node in the add menu.
Does this work for only stills? What about animationss?
This works on both! The beauty is the effect is procedural, meaning that the grain etc will update on every frame.
