Blender Baking Node

Tired of Blenders clunky baking tools? This addon has you covered. Access all the baking related tools right from a single node inside the shader editor. Manage your baking passes with different bake modes, individual settings and even post-processing effects. Bake all passes at the same time with a click of the button. Blender will then take care of the processing while you can continue to work on your project. The node logs the entire process and automatically exports the resulting textures with correct color space settings. The Baking Node also supports 4-channel image bakes, perfect for the game art texturing workflow. 

The Baking Node allows for a texturing workflow similar to Substance Designer. Create your materials and export them using the Baking Node for later use in Game Engines or other 3D packages. Or simply render an Ambient Occlusion pass with Cycles-accuracy to spice up Eevee materials while retaining clean visuals and performance. 

The Baking Nodes core strengths are a very clean and easy-to-use interface as well as presenting with a more robust baking experience than with Blenders built-in tools. All bakes will be done entirely in the background, they will not freeze your interface or require you to stop working on your project. Enable the "Denoise" option to bake maps with less samples but equally smooth results while saving a lot of time. 

The Baking Node is the only tool for Blender that lets you bake custom normals into Normal Maps for further use in other 3D packages or Blender itself. 


The node can bake mesh maps but does not support the Highpoly to Lowpoly baking workflow at this time but is a feature for a future update.
