Mantapro
MantaPro and Flip Fluids are conceptually very different. Flip Fluids is more similar to Blender's built-in Fluid engine, although the Flip Fluids engine is written completely from scratch. MantaPro, on the other hand, was designed to streamline and improve Blender’s built-in fluid engine with helpful tools and UI Improvements. MantaPro makes it much easier to use and learn fluid simulation without needing to worry about what objects are selected and which objects do what.
Most likely. However, we do not begin developing for the experimental builds until Blender enters Bcon3 or the beta stage of Blender’s development. Most likely it will work assuming there are not any big API changes. That said, any new feature added to Blender from the experimental builds will not get implemented until after Bcon3.
The current LTS version should look like this “MantaProLTS33_v1.3.zip” the “33” stands for the version of the LTS. For example, if it is “33” it is the version for Blender 3.3 and if it is “293” it is for Blender 2.93.
Yes. MantaPro will work with Eevee. However, while all the built-in materials will work with Eevee, except for “Use Heat”, for the best-looking material you will have to change some Eevee settings. For the water material, a button will appear that will automatically setup Eevee for realistic water. However, for the smoke and fire material, there is a drop-down that will show all the necessary settings to increase the quality (Specifically the tile size).
No, MantaPro is NOT compatible with the FLIP Fluids addon. MantaPro is designed around Blender's built-in fluid system, Mantaflow.
