Main features include:

  • One HDRi for Lighting, one tone mapped jpeg for backdrop and one for blur

  • Add blur to any of our HDRis

  • Advanced EXR Compression = Maximum Quality AND small file size

  • Use in Cycles, Octane, or anywhere

  • Custom Shader with many useful settings like background color correction, blur, color temperature and more

  • A few CG HDRIs created with Octane for Blender.

  • 8k resolution

    Other HDRIs and HDRI packs use Uncompressed or ZIP lossless EXR format, or HDR format, these formats have their strengths, especially when it comes to compositing, but they for lighting/backdrops they are not great codecs to use.

    DWAA (Developed by DreamWorks Animation) is a superior codec, it cuts the memory and size by 10x on average. For example, if we used Zip or Lossless, the file size to download our HDRIs would be 10gb, instead of 1gb.

    With all our HDRIs loaded into memory at once, the memory use is 6gb, but close to 50gb with Zip or Lossless! Hopefully you'll only use one at a time, but you can see how this adds up quick.

    You can also use the textures in any program and build your own shaders, for example in Unity, Unreal, Maya or more.
