Hanging Paper Lanterns 🏮 (Geometry Nodes)

by Ryan King Art in Modifier Setups

Decorate your scene with these Hanging Paper Lanterns, created with Blender's Geometry Nodes.

Geometry Nodes:
A geometry nodes setup has been adding to a curve object, to add these lanterns to the cord. You can decorate your 3d scene with the hanging lanterns by editing and extruding the handles of the curve object to place the lanterns. The Geometry Node modifier has some customizable values to control the Distance between the lanterns, the Lanterns scale, Seed value, Density Factor, and Lantern Rotation.

Procedural Materials:
The lantern object has customizable procedural material node groups, to control the light brightness, color, and hue, as well as the paper color, roughness, bump, and horizontal and vertical lines on the lanterns.

Render Engine:
This product was designed for the Cycles render engine, so it works best in Cycles.
