Ok, I'd say it looks really cool on the face and can significantly speed up the process if you're using Daz G9 characters. But - the seams between texture segments are rather obvious, so (at least for now) it's still not a perfect solution. Basically it's a one-click solution if you plan to work with a portrait or clothed character - as soon as you need to show more of the body, it's not really a one-click solution anymore. For me personally additional drawback is the custom model workflow requiring external software like ZBrush and ZWrap. I was counting on something working more... procedurally. At this point and for this price it's an honest 3+ (say - 4 for effort) for me. It's a solid start and if it gets more developed with maybe some procedural options and/or in-blender custom mesh workflow, then it completely changes my optics on it.

Thanks! We appreciate the detailed review.

We're working on a Pro version that addresses many of the areas you've highlighted.

Amazing add-on! How often will there be a new skins update?

Upon viewing it, I was initially skeptical about its one-click functionality. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it works seamlessly with DAZ characters. Once imported, it truly is a single-click process, and the results are instant. I am eager to anticipate the future innovations from this team.

This addon needs to understand UV of Daz G 9. That should demonstrate how to generate UV for a customized Head with the shader. Not everyone can be expected to use ZWrap or DAZ3D. UV is also a part of shader.

    Finally someone made this Addon.
I’ve waited for a similar product to achieve realism for years since starting with Blender. There’s a small learning curve, but the results are absolutely stunning and so fast.
I followed their tutorials on YouTube and made my first realistic character. It would have taken me hours and hours before. I’m really excited for future updates and new skins. Please make a hair addon next!

This is just skins for G9 with a shader node group for some basic controls. I would give it MORE than 1 star except the skin has seams connecting head, to bod and arms. So it's basically $39 for sloppy texture work and a control panel that won't even apply all the textures at once. Yep, you have to click on each to apply head, torso, arms and legs..seperatly.

Hi Charles, a one-star review seems harsh given the value for the skins alone would likely warrant a similar price point on comparative websites. But please read-on for answers to your points.

As we have shared in a comment below, Humanify creates photorealistic looking characters in one-click and works automatically with Genesis 9. It sounds like you may be struggling when trying to apply it to your meshes, which can be achieved using ZWRAP and following this guide: https://youtu.be/2z1OtL4JS_o?si=OlU8-iZ1GPKV5vyv.

It is important to us that Humanify can work across machines, as not everyone has a PC that can support super heavy EXR maps. For this reason, we made the decision to (marginally) lower the visibility of the seams so that the materials were more optimised.

The main use-case that we're prioritising is getting people to realism in one-click, especially for close-ups and similar. If you want to work on the entire, naked body - you can spend some additional time to make the improvements needed.

Finally, we're working on an update to allow users to update all materials simultaneously if selected. This has been requested and scheduled for an upcoming release.

Not gonna lie, this is my first Add-on I've bought for blender and it's a REALLY good investment. I do have a couple questions, but currently i only have 2 questions:
    1. Do you have a roadmap of stuff you want to improve/add/fix/etc in the future?
    2. Is there chance this could be adapted to non DAZ models? (Such as telling the add-on where the face, nose, fingers, etc. are and letting the add-on auto apply the material without having to deal with the UV's. Bit of a stretch i know, but i bet people with non DAZ models would love this add-on.)

Hello Hector, thank you very much for the purchase and the message, very good questions, Yes we plan to when we get to work on version 2.0 to expand the collection and improve a lot of things, we will use a lot the discord to get feedback from users. and very good point, for now to use humanify with any mesh we have a video on our youtube channel of Humanify Blender. on paper it would be perfect what you are proposing. we will have to find a way to get to that and make it universal in blender without leaving the program.

This could be an amazing addon, but it does not properly support Blender completely as it leads people to believe. The videos show astounding skin materials in one-click that really sell it and reel you into wanting to use it. However, this is not the case, unless you are using an external program such as Daz3d which is rather disappointing. Not everyone wants to use Daz3d or Maya or Zbrush as we chose Blender and many of us would prefer to stay here primarily in Blender if possible unless it's for Substance, Etc, or a Game Engine mainly. I would strongly request and recommend that the Developer should add extra options or settings into this Addon to support its usage much better by at least providing a built-in method to give general guide or a layout of some sort for the UVs to be set up for Custom Heads and Bodies made specifically within Blender to properly support it at which point this Addon will be well-worth its full value, much more, and 5 stars.

Hi Kade, thanks for the review, but you're wrong, if you looked at the page well you'd see that it's a Skin Shader Addon, not a character generator, and these skins are ready for genesis 9 or to make ZWrap with genesis 9 tights. Before you buy something or put a review, inform yourself better, have a good day :)

    Stunning, the detail is incredible.
Just one thing, I wish that in future updates we can have an option to adjust the material for head, body, arms and legs at the same time, so that if i change the skin tone for the head, the rest of the body parts update accordingly. If there's a way to do it right now, I can't find it, and its a bit bothersome.
    But yeah, fantastic addon.

Thank you for the review and kind words! We don't have that feature right now, so we'll add it as a request for an upcoming version.
