How to get fewer patches
Please set the refinement level in the export option to 1. if the tangent continuity at the extraordinary vertices is not sufficient, please increase the refinement level to a higher level.
I cannot export mesh data
This addon is not meant to export Mesh Data as it is. It is meant to export the subdivision limit surfaces of a quad dominant mesh. The addon may fail trying to export heavy triangulated mesh data as it may run out of IGES limits and/or memory. For exporting triangulated mesh data from Blender please use STL or other formats that support mesh data.
