This node is designed to achieve realistic mix of textures and masks, allowing the artist to get really realistic shaders in a matter of minutes or even seconds.
The idea emerged by my need of using Unreal Engine in parallel with Blender. I needed great textures baked and not just in Cycles anymore. Then, the node was developed first to help me get similar results of my major demmands in Substance Painter/Designer. I just wantted to make all my textures in Blender as maximum as I can, but with quality. After a few tests I realized that the approach using It was easy and also was giving me a great deal of quality, so nowadays I am very happy working with It and I don't need to jump into Substance Painter every time to bring my models to life.
