Blender Addon / Extension Chat Companion. Made by Polygoningenieur Gustav Hahn. Allows you to utilize the LLMs (large language models) from OpenAI, Google and Anthropic, i.e. the ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Claude models. This makes you more efficient, you can get direct help while using Blender, it supports you in coding. The addon allows reads out alound the answers. You can ask it anything you want, about scripting with Python in Blender (bpy, and Python scripting in general), about the usage of Blender and any topic also not related to Blender. The addon Chat Companion displays its answers neatly in paragraphs, code segments and lists. It also lets you conveniently run any code it shows you. You can copy the code to a new text file, into your current text file or to the clipboard. If the generated code throws an error, there will appear a button to ask Chat Companion to fix it. Inside the Blender text editor, you can ask Chat Companion for code completion. And on many UI elements in Blender, you can rightclick and aks Chat Companion what this button or setting does. Chat Companion explains it to you in a brief but completee manner. While using Chat Companion, you can access the history of your conversations, favoring an answer, deleting it and reordering them. Chat Companion also allows you to attach documents to a question, this way you can easily pass along information, ask about a script from your hard drive and so on.
