While you can follow the steps with the provided course files, we highly encourage you to apply the knowledge and techniques demonstrated here to achieve your own unique characters!
Chapter 1 : Modeling
Beginning with a trustworthy basemesh, learn to build a fun, stylized character model. Extract chunks from the base and shape them into clothing, accessories, and hair proxies.
Chapter 2: Materials, Textures & Lighting
Adding textures and materials is like adding paint to a clay sculpture. However, there's a many more attributes governing 3D materials beyond color - reflectivity, metalness, roughness, translucence, opacity, refraction, bump, etc.
Chapter 3: Hair Grooming
Hair is often the finishing touch in a character creation workflow. With Blender 4.2 getting geometry node hair curve presets, this course features the first demonstration of the ✨new way✨ hair is generated and groomed.
