Adjust Vertex Weights
How can I prevent some vertex groups from being changed?
This tool ignores all groups that are locked. So lock all the groups in your mesh, then unlock only the ones that you'd like to affect.
This process is very common in professional rigging workflows -- group locking is an effective way to not mess up the weights that you've already worked on!
