Important Practices

Embedd all controllers in a single armature using bones instead of empties
Start animations on frame 1
Optimize animations
Make a dedicated Root Bone when using Root Motion from mocap data, vertical pole aligned straight up. (Make Root Bone, Transfer operators available)
Make sure Root rotations are using Euler rotations.
Include Scale Keyframes to avoid zero scale errors.
Ensure Inherit Rotation is enabled on bone relations. Otherwise they won't be affected by Root Motion.
