Sdf Shader Pack

by Clement Odai in Surfacing

WHAT IS THE SDF SHADER PACK?

The shader pack contains four highly customizable shaders using SDF Ray marching for your Stills Or Animations. Feel free to customize for a variety of projects or ideas. Including, but not limited to
  • Large Scale Backgrounds
  • Abstract Renders
  • Particles or Packed Objects
  • Realistic or Stylized Animations
In great detail at a LOW RESOURCE and suitable for LOW OR HIGH POLY GEOMETRY.
Feel free to modify, pull, push and break the shaders to customize further to your personal preferences and learn a few things along the way.

 WHAT ARE SDFs?

A Signed Distance Function (SDF) is a tool used to represent or describe shapes in 3D
space. A value is assigned to every point in space based on its distance to the closest
surface boundary of the shape. Where positive values are outside the shape and negative
values found within. The magnitude of these points indicate their proximity to the
nearest surface boundaries, controlled by vector math operations.

Applying this in blender's powerful shader node editor, we created the SDF Shaders to
assist you to create 3D:

  •  Clouds ( Smoke ^-^ or Treetops ^-^ )

  •  City Skyscrapers ( Blocks ^-^ Grids ^-^ )

  •  Pāhoehoe Lava ( Lava Lamps ^-^ and Balls ^-^ )

  •  Misty Mountains / Hills ( Rocks  ^-^ and Cliffs ^-^ )

 Compatible with EEVEE and CYCLES!

Thank you very dearly
