Blender Parametric Primitves

by Lior Ben Horin in Modifier Setups

Blender is missing Parametric Primitives, similar to applications like C4D or Maya

With Geometry Nodes it is fairly simple to create them, but it is not for beginners, who need these objects the most, while they experiment and learn how to use Blender and define their style.

This first version includes:

              • Cube
              • Cylinder
              • Disc
              • Capsule
              • Sphere
              • Cone
              • Spring

Change size, radius and segment count at any time! No need to commit to anything while fiddling with modifiers and animation.

              Usage

The primitives will be available in the Assets library, simply drag and drop them into your scene.

Each primitive will have all its parameters exposed in the modifiers pane.

              Installation

                    1. From Blender Preferences, Make a new Asset Library
                    2. Name it "Primitives"
                    3. Point it to where you have extracted primitives.zip
                    4. Restart Blender

                    Notes

This is the very first release, so issues are expected.

Please feel free to provide feedback <3

Shout out to my friends over @ FridayLab  who help finding the workaround to add material support.
