  • Special version of my Blego shader (Cycles and Eevee) for Blego Bricks

Includes pre-made materials for all the official Lego colors till 2016.
                                                         Solid, Transparent and Metallic.

See the original shader HERE. Some features have been added specially for Blego Bricks.

The logo on the studs can easily be changed by plugging a B/W texture in the 'Stud Logo' input. Sliders for metallic and transparency were also added.

Blego uses Principled  BSDF shader, allowing a flexible workflow with physically correct shading.
This ensures that the assets will look great in any kind of lighting. :)

With your support and feedback, I hope to keep on improving Blego :)

You can import this material in your scene by going to File>Append and then selecting the material from the downloaded .BLEND file. Simple, right?

If you need to 3d print any brick, just select and save it as .STL file. That is it!
Take it to your choice of slicing software, I prefer Cura. :)

Hope it help make your models look even more epic, I would love to see your projects!
Have fun and keep blending. :)

Why are the bricks so big?

They are made according to the existing Lego system, so that you can 3d print any of the Blego brick, and it will be compatible with any Lego/ Duplo sets in the world.

They appear big, because 1 Blender unit = 1mm.

Is this compatible with Cycles and/or Eevee ?

Yes, Blego is is compatible with both Cycles and Eevee rendering engines.

The textures look weird (stretched or squished) on my model, what should I do?

You need to apply scale.
Select model. Hit 'Ctrl+A'. Select 'Scale'.

Do I need to UV unwrap the bricks or my models to use this shader?

No, there is simply no need of UV unwrapping. The shader works just like that.

The studs/ knobs on the bricks use UVs, but they have already been unwrapped for you. Enjoy! :)

How many Blego bricks are included in the product?

There are 279 different bricks in the product as of now.
I will keep adding more with future updates.

My Blender version doesn't have Eevee, what should I do?

Download an experimental 2.8 build from

Why does the 'Edge Wear' doesn't work for me?

Edge Wear is currently not supported by Eevee, everything else will work just fine.

If you are using Cycles, and still are facing a problem, then you need to download the latest 2.79 'Experimental' build from

Sorry for the inconvenience. I am sure this will be resolved with the next stable Blender release. Thanks for your support. :)
