Tips for use:

For best results a high density of hairs is required. To see the actual render density of hair curves in the viewport, you need to change the modifier "Interpolate Curve > viewport" amount to 1.0 for each fur curve object.

You can control the resolution of the sisal wrappings using the geometry node modifier. For the render images I used 4 strands with a resolution of 5 per strand.
