Attention! This material requires Blender version 2.78 or higher. Won't work on 2.77a and lower.

This product contains single, texture-based material for Cycles render: matte and dim zinc-plated steel with faint patches of white zinc oxide; this material also can be found inside Real Metals Vol.2 pack (3$ per material).

  • Improvements in fresnel reflection on non-metal parts of material.

Known issues: when 3D viewport switched to "Material" mode Blender hangs for minute or two, after that meshes with that material will look pure black. This issue reported as bug but unfortunately can't be fixed because "Material" viewport rendering mode by design ignores all optimizations inside node tree and trying to render ALL nodes (and dies on complex material like this one); maybe in Blender v2.8 it will be fixed.

  • Improvements in "Metal brightness & color" and "Non-metal brightness and color" effects on color of diffuse texture.

v2.5    [26.10.2016]

  • Fixed bug with dim overheat pattern colors if metal has grey or dark metalness map.
  • Reworked "Metal brightness & color" and "Non-metal brightness & color" parameters. Now they finally bug-free but same values gives different result on material, keep that in mind.
  • Material re-calibrated again, mostly same look but better backup old variant before update. Just in case.
  • Fixed bug when "Non-metal brightness & color" parameter works only when "Grunge amount" is non-zero.
  • Improved grunge layer. Now at low values of "Grunge amount" param (0-0.5) it gives more interesting results (film-like appearance), like it was before 2.2 update.
  • Some minor improvements to node tree setup in micro-scratches section.
