Procedural Lightsaber Generator

by Monty Radford in Modifier Setups

Create stunning, procedurally generated lightsabers in Blender with this Geometry Nodes tool!
Perfect for rapid prototyping or creative projects, this tool generates randomized lightsaber designs with varied blade lengths, colors, and hilt geometries.
The system uses an expandable library of parts to ensure every creation is unique.

How to Use:

  1. Generate a Lightsaber: Use the Geometry Nodes modifier inputs to set a seed value, control blade length and color, and choose between single or double blades.
  2. Add New Parts: Expand the design library by duplicating the provided geometry reference, editing it to create custom hilts or components, and placing the object in the appropriate collection for seamless integration.
  3. Customize Textures: For advanced customization, a Substance Painter file is included. If you have access to Substance Painter, you can generate your own textures to perfectly match your design vision.

With this versatile tool, you can experiment endlessly to create lightsaber designs tailored to any scene or aesthetic. Whether you're an artist, designer, or sci-fi enthusiast, unleash your creativity with ease!
