I love the addon and I use it daily, I'm writing just to let you know that with the new decalmachine 2.2 on blender 2.92.0 it seems like the material to decals feature is broken, at least for me.

      Hey Nicola,
Thanks for the review and also thanks for letting me know about this bug. If you can send me a direct message via BlenderMarket, that'd be great, since I can only reply once to reviews.

Love it. I use it to easily toggle between materials before sending them to a bigger retouch if needed for the workflow. To me, it's a must addon for Blender. Saves time, allows more viewport screen for people like me who are designers and animators.

But that's not the only value of the product I had an issue with the addon, mixing it with Decal Machines decals on the newer 2.9 version and whatnot, so I wrote for support and the creator (Oliver) created a new version just so it could work and solve my issue! A new version! Talking about incredible tech support. Thanks, Oliver!

Being able to copy materials to decals is fantastic and the main reason I got this addon. Thanks a bunch for making this.

The truth is the main reason I got this addon was the ability to copy materials from the main mesh to its decals quickly. The other features are handy too. Thanks

Thank you for this nice addon! It makes Blender more fun to work with and combined with Smudgr Pro is a perfect environment to easily create materials. :)

I got this early in development...and I had some doubts. Oliver has turned this addon into a prime tool in your workflow. I recommend combining this with Smudgr.

I need to modify the shortcut keys for this plug-in,Want to add custom

    • Oliver Post 7 months ago

Hey there! Changing the shortcut is of course possible, as stated in the 'Getting Started' tutorial. In summary: open your Blender preferences, go to the 'keymap' tab and then search for InstaMat. An item for this addon will appear in the list where you can redefine the shortcut. Let me know if you have any other questions!
