Character Physics is a complete physics engine written entirely in python. It allows you to quickly add physics effects to armatures. You can achieve the animation quality of motion capture without any equipment. It saves countless hours of work for animators trying to create realism or subtlety of movement. It also allows interactive physics simulation for effects like ropes, wires, hair, clothing, vehicles etc.. It lets you get realistic motion for fantasy characters that would be impossible even with motion capture.

I worked in physics simulation for ten years before I was ready to create this product. I've been planning this since 2015. In October of 2023 I started working on it full time. The tool is now powerful and stable enough that I'm comfortable releasing it.

Now that I have it I can't imagine trying to do animation without it.
